Andy Carroll charged with breaching non-molestation order, faces possible jail term

According to English media, forward Andy Carroll is facing jail after being charged with breaching a non-molestation order. The 36-year-old is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

Andy Carroll was arrested in April over an alleged offence linked to an incident that took place in March. Details of the case have not been made public for legal reasons, but the charge relates to a breach of a non-molestation order – a civil court injunction designed to prevent contact with another person, their address, or both.

Essex Police told The Sun on Sunday: “A man has been charged with breaching a non-molestation order. Andrew Carroll, 36, of Epping, was arrested on April 27 and the alleged offences relate to an incident in March. He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on December 30.”

In July 2025, The Sun reported that a former Premier League player had been arrested at an airport in front of passengers. He was detained immediately after landing at Stansted Airport following a flight from France, with police said to have been notified in advance before taking him away.

The identity of the alleged victim has not been disclosed, but the case is believed to be linked to Carroll’s personal relationships. Carroll married TOWIE star Billi Mucklow in 2022, before the couple divorced two years later. They share three children, while Carroll also has two children from a previous relationship. Since 2024, he has been in a relationship with hairstylist Lou Teasdale.

The former Newcastle & Liverpool player will go to court on Tuesday

Carroll began his professional career with Newcastle United in 2006 and moved to Liverpool five years later in a £35 million deal, making him the most expensive English player at the time. His spell at Anfield proved disappointing, with just six goals in 44 appearances, before he joined West Ham United on loan.

West Ham later signed him permanently, but inconsistent performances saw him move on to several clubs, including Newcastle, Reading and West Brom. He joined Bordeaux in 2024 before returning to England to play for National League South side Dagenham & Redbridge.
